Synopsis:
The story began where Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise), an arrogant and casual laborers who live alone after divorce with his wife, Mary Ann (Miranda Otto). One day, a surprise his wife with her new partner left their two children Robbie (Justin Chatwin) and Rachel (Dakota Fanning on Ray. Both of these children prefer their lives with his mother and stepfather at their wise McMansionville.
And in the same week after the second child is entrusted to pass the horrendous events. Is a disaster that is felt throughout the early inhabitants of Earth. There is a strange lightning storm in Ukraine, and electro-magnetic deadly elsewhere around the world. And suddenly a giant three-legged creature Tripod appears in Ray's backyard. In a strategic way, Ray and his son seized a car that is safe from fire EMP bursts extraterrestrials, and led the way to the outskirts of town, and then continued on to Boston, where his ex-wife was waiting. Certainly not an easy fight because in addition to the areas around which has been almost razed to the ground, they also pursued by an army of Tripods. Their journey becomes more and more exciting when they joined the sekelopok people trying to cross the Hudson, and underwent Wars Around the World.
