Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) just can not do much when Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin) slaughtered his beloved father. But that does not mean she would give up so easily. There is simmering resentment in his heart. Mattie must avenge his father's death. Mattie could not kill Tom Chaney with his own hands, but she knew who could do it.

Mattie then hired a marshal named Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) to kill Tom Chaney who reportedly fled to areas controlled by Indians. Although the Rooster did not reject this assignment, but Rooster would not participate if Mattie. Unfortunately, she did not agree. He must participate in this mission of revenge.
