Synopsis:

Red Dog is based on a true story, of a real life statue, erected in 1979 in Dampier (an outback mining town in the Pilbura area of Western Australia). Adapted from the novel of the same name by award-winning author Louis De Bernires Red Dog is the true story of a charismatic kelpie who united a mining community in North West Australia in the 1970s and 80s.
